Please read the following information in relation to your personal data and the data obtained from the call blocking devices:

  • trueCall holds a record of the telephone numbers blocked by your call blocking device. You can view this data via your control panel. The control panel allows you to add or amend the numbers permitted to call you on your device as you wish.
  • trueCall shares anonymised telephone numbers that have been blocked by the devices deployed in Scotland with Trading Standards Scotland to help them identify and take action against prolific scam and nuisance callers.
  • trueCall will retain your personal details in order to contact you for maintenance purposes such as annual renewal of access to the control panel. For full details of trueCall’s privacy policy, please see their website.
  • Trading Standards Scotland will only retain your personal details and that of the person using the device (if different) for the purpose of delivering the call blocking unit. If the unit is not installed within 14 days of it being sent, Trading Standards Scotland may contact you to ensure the item has been delivered and is still required. Once the unit is installed, TSS will delete your personal details.
