CAS and Consumer Education: Consumer Education

Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) is the national umbrella body that provides support services for Scottish Citizens Advice Bureaux and collates client case evidence to shape policy in Scotland and the UK.

Within the UK consumer landscape, CAS has responsibility for consumer education and runs the Citizens Advice Consumer Service providing free, confidential and impartial advice on consumer issues.

If you have experienced a problem with goods or services that you have purchased, you can seek advice from the Citizens Advice Consumer Service directly on 03454 04 05 06. The service is available from 9.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to Friday for people in Scotland and across Great Britain.

The helpline gives advice on a wide variety of consumer issues, ranging from advice on your rights when you buy online to how to make sure you're getting the best deal on your energy. Alternatively for debt and money advice contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau or visit the Adviceguide where you can find out more about your rights as a consumer online.

Use the Find Local Advice search tool to find your local Citizens Advice Scotland Bureau.
